Ali graduated from the University of New Hampshire in 1991.   In 1996 she graduated cum laude from Suffolk University Law School where she received the American Jurisprudence Award and served as editor of the Transnational Law Review. 

During law school she worked as a legal intern for the Honorable Marianne B. Bowler of the United States District Court for the District of Massachusetts.  After law school she clerked for the Justices of the Superior Court of Massachusetts. 

At the conclusion of her clerkship, she practiced as a litigation attorney at a large suburban law firm handling cases primarily involving personal injury including, pharmacy errors and omissions, premises liability, auto torts and general liability.

At another suburban law firm, she later focused her practice in the area of real estate conveyancing, representing buyers, sellers and lenders in both commercial and residential real estate transactions. 

She opened Wannop & Associates in 2008 where she continues to focus on real estate law. 

She was born in England and was raised in Rhodesia (now known as Zimbabwe) and South Africa, before she settled with her family on Boston’s South Shore. 

She is currently a member of the Massachusetts Real Estate Bar Association, the Woman Attorney’s Network of the South Shore, and the American Land Title Association.  Ali is a title agent for Commonwealth Land Title Insurance Company and Old Republic Title Insurance Company.
